Shania Fogg IAESS 2015 Wollongong University Environmental Engineering TfNSW (RMS)

I participated in the 2015 Indigenous Australian Engineering Summer School and Student workshop. The IAESS encouraged me to become more motivated in working towards my future. It was recommended to me by a teacher at my school who thought I possessed similar qualities to an engineer. Meet the participants

Welcome

Engineering Aid Australia (EAA) is a non-profit organisation which conducts annual week-long Indigenous Australian Engineering Schools (IAES) to inspire and assist disadvantaged Indigenous students to complete Year 12 and pursue tertiary education preferably in an Engineering discipline. Students from WA, SA and NT attend the week-long Indigenous Australian Engineering School (IAES) at Curtin University in July. Students from NSW, Qld, Vic, ACT and Tas attend Sydney University for a week in January. Our patron is the former Prime Minister, The Honourable Bob Hawke AC.

EAA also assists students who have attended an IAES school by:

  • providing them with financial assistance to complete their secondary school studies and to study engineering or a related course at University; and
  • helping them to find work experience and career opportunities  with our sponsoring engineering companies.
