I went into the summer school program a little nervous and without any idea of what engineering really involved or how University life worked. My week with IAESS opened my eyes to all the opportunities that are available by becoming an engineer and how  through University I can achieve these. IAESS helped me to realise that by study engineering, I can be part of a positive impact on the world. This year I am commencing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney with hopes to one day have my own engineering firm!

I participated in the 2015 Indigenous Australian Engineering Summer School and Student workshop. The IAESS encouraged me to become more motivated in working towards my future. It was recommended to me by a teacher at my school who thought I possessed similar qualities to an engineer. Related Meet the participants
