Lucas Schober NT Curtin IAESS 2016

Lucas Schober NT Curtin IAESS 2016

In January of 2016 I participated in the Indigenous Australian Engineering Summer School held at Curtin University in Perth. Over the course of the seven day camp all 20 participants were given the opportunity to learn and experience first-hand each of the many different areas of Engineering. This summer school was an enriching experience which furthered my passion of becoming not only a leader in the field of engineering but also a leader to all Indigenous people. This year, in 2017, I will begin my first year of tertiary studies, having been enrolled into the University of Queensland to undertake a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons). The IAESS was an amazing experience with a team who continue to support me along my journey of becoming an engineer.

I participated in the 2015 Indigenous Australian Engineering Summer School and Student workshop. The IAESS encouraged me to become more motivated in working towards my future. It was recommended to me by a teacher at my school who thought I possessed similar qualities to an engineer. Related Meet the participants
