Student Support

Continuing School Scholarships

To assist and encourage IAES students to continue on and complete Year 12, Engineering Aid Australia offers Continuing School Scholarships when students return to their High School after attending the IAES. The scholarship funds may be used at the student’s discretion for school expenses, books, fees, excursions, Maths equipment or extra coaching.

To receive the scholarship, students must have their own bank account, as the funds will be paid via direct deposit. The supporting teacher nominated on the Application Form will be contacted after the IAES, and upon verification that the student has re-enrolled at school, Engineering Aid Australia will arrange for the scholarship payment to be made directly to the student’s bank account.

The scholarship amount will vary depending on the year of study and currently stands at $300 for students entering Years 10 or 11 after the IAES, and $400 for students entering Year 12.

Jeff Dobell Memorial Scholarships

In memory of the late Jeff Dobell, the founder of EAA, students who have participated in an IAES are eligible to receive a Jeff Dobell Memorial Scholarship when they enrol at an Australian University:

  • 1st Year University: Engineering $5,000 / Science $4,000
  • 2nd Year University: Engineering $4,000 / Science $3,000

Students undertaking a University Pathway course that leads to entry for a Degree in Engineering or a related course remain eligible for support.

In addition, recipients are invited to become EAA Ambassadors — attending Sponsor ‘Thank You’ receptions and supporting the IAES Program whenever opportunities arise.

Tafe Study Scholarships

Students who have participated in an IAES are eligible to receive a $1000 scholarship when they enrol in an Engineering or Technology related course at a TAFE or equivalent institution that leads to a recognised qualification.

Career Opportunities with Sponsors

During the IAES the students have an opportunity to meet Engineers from our Sponsors at:

These networking opportunities allow sponsors and students to make valuable connections that lead to further career mentoring.
